Digi-mobile – Support for the development and use of innovative applications on “smart” mobile devices and tablet-PCs

The action digi-mobile "Support for the development and use of innovative applications on “smart” mobile devices and tablet-PCs" aims at supporting small Greek businesses active in the fields of tourism, culture, restaurants and catering, wholesale trade, healthcare, entertainment, environment, transport and logistics, services in general, as well as IT and telecommunications, in order to make good use of the international potential and gain access to new target groups, by offering new digital opportunities and high added-value services through smartphones.

Note: The online system through which companies can submit electronic proposals will be available from Monday, December 19 at 12:00.

The starting date of the submission of enterprises' proposals is determined by the Region in which they are located and follows the schedule:

  • Region of Central Greece and Southern Aegean:  Monday, Junuary 30, 2012 at 14:00
  • Region of Central Macedonia, Western Macedonia: Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at 14:00
  • Regions of the OP "Digital Convergence" (Eastern Macedonia-Thrace, Epirus, Thessaly, Epirus, Western Greece, Peloponnese, North Aegean, Crete): Thursday, February 2, 2012 at 14:00
  • Refion of Attica: The starting date of the submission of enterprises's proposals will be anounced soon. 
What is funded: 

Support is granted for developing, acquiring and using innovative digital services applications through smartphones (native mobile apps/web mobile apps or/and web mobile portals), either in B2C (Business to Consumer),  B2B (Business to Business) or B2E (Business to Employee) form. These services should make use of state-of-the-art technologies and innovative applications on “smart”mobile devices and tablet-PCs and be available through a paid Software-as-a-Service platform.

Alternatively, support is granted for developing mobile portals on condition that they:

  • provide a comprehensive working environment which must recognize the type/software of the mobile device and adjust to its features,
  • are fully operational, similar to the existing web portals of the beneficiary company, and
  • allow interaction with the mobile device user and they are not restricted to providing one-way information.

For example, services may concern a number of different topics and sectors, such as Healthcare, Entrepreneurship, Environment, Culture, Entertainment, Tourism, Transport, Restaurants and Catering.

NACE codes, business sectors or cases of companies excluded from funding: 

The following businesses are excluded from funding:

  • Their business sector falls within the business activities excluded under the De Minimis rule
  • They have received support from Programs and State Aid Actions covered by the De Minimis rule for sums exceeding €200,000
  • They do not have at least one approved accounting period until the date of submission of the proposal for participation in the Action
  • They have more than forty-nine (49) employees in private employment relationships in addition to the entrepreneur(s), shareholder(s) and partner(s)
  • Are problematic as defined in Article 2, paragraph 2, point 9, 10 and 11 of the Guidelines of the European Commission 2004/C/244/02.
  • Consortia, urban non-profit companies and those engaged exclusively in liberal professions
